Nominate a Champion
of Lived Experience

Help us honor the changemakers and initiatives that have laid the foundation of centering lived experience in child welfare.

The people closest to the foster care system are the best equipped to share what’s working, what’s not, and what changes can improve lives for generations to come. It is through centering lived experience that together we can transform foster care into a system that truly benefits youth and families.

A Champion of Lived Experience is a person, project, or initiative in our community, state, and nation that has elevated people with first-hand experience in foster care to have voice and agency in their life and case plan and to be positioned as experts in child welfare research, policy, and day-to-day practices.
