We’re excited to share that Edy Penn joined Think of Us in February as Vice President of People & Culture to support our team through our next phase of growth! Edy has a broad range of HR expertise, including talent acquisition, executive coaching, staff training and development, culture-building, and DEIA support and implementation. She also has varied experience in the non-profit arena having served as a board member, executive, staff, and adviser to various organizations.

Her background makes her an exceptional fit for our team, but we’re also thrilled by the “why” behind her work: Edy has a deep desire to ensure that, in all areas of human resources, employees feel heard, valued, and understood. She’s witnessed the power of building a team that is happy, healthy, and engaged enough to do the “heart” work required to effectively serve its mission. As a graduate of Milton Hershey School (a free, private, boarding school in Hershey, Pennsylvania dedicated to maximizing the potential of children in financial need founded in 1909), she feels both a desire and an obligation to engage in work that is satisfying, challenging, and inures to the benefit of historically oppressed and/or marginalized people.

"As the beneficiary of a generosity that permanently removed me from the foster care system, I am excited to work with TOU to bring about change in the child welfare system at every level."

Edy’s professional experience also has an exciting breadth to it, which means she brings a multi-faceted perspective to the opportunities and challenges of an organization in hyper-growth. She is a licensed attorney and HR/DEIA professional and is the Founder/CEO of PennSquared Consulting, LLC. Edy is also a mom, an obstacle course racer, and a fan of foreign language movies and sci-fi and fantasy literature.

At Think of Us Edy leads our People & Culture strategies and practices, helping us develop a culture of inclusion, equity, and impact.
